Chicago Children's Humanities Festival
Date: May 3-10
Location: Multiple Venues
Email Address: yaniras@chfestival.org
URL: www.chfestival.org

The 9th annual CHILDREN’S HUMANITIES FESTIVAL, with its inspiring programming theme “Big Ideas,” allows young people to let their mind wonder about all the possibilities of the world-to think big. For the first time, the Children’s Humanities Festival is blooming away from the Chicago Humanities Festival to allow and accommodate more ambitious and artful programming to a greater audience. The “big ideas” that inspired our move include programs presented in five Chicago-area neighborhoods and performances that hail from three different countries. “Big Ideas,” presented by Target Stores, offers a spectacular array of events ranging from live performance, music, movement, and dance to interactive participation for ages 5 and up. The programs of the Children’s Humanities Festival are NOT for “kids only”, programs were design to be as engaging for adults as they are for young people, and adults are encourage to attend the programs whether they’re “accompanied by a child” or not. Weekend and weekday evening performances were added in order to accommodate different schedules. Tickets to most programs are only $5.00, but the best news is that children up to age 17 and educators are eligible for free tickets (with valid ID where applicable). To order tickets call the Festival ticket office: 312.494.9509 or visit the website.
