“Tubac/Tumacácori is the new spiritual Mecca of Western civilization."
—Gabriel of Urantia, Jan. 2009
Tubac and Tumacácori are located in the Santa Cruz River Valley south of Tucson, Arizona. The area has a long tradition of being both a melting pot of different cultures and a spiritual gathering place for new-world seekers and sages. Nestled between the sky-islands of Southern Arizona, the valley below has come to be know as the "palm of God's hand."
“New Paradigm Music”
"It is literally true, 'melody has power a whole world to transform.' Forever, music will remain the universal language of men, angels, and spirits." —The Urantia Book, page 500.
Live music for the Tubac/Tumacácori Music Festival is presented by Global Change Music, a nonprofit record label that challenges musicians worldwide to write lyrics and melodies that ascend the soul, raise planetary consciousness, and unite humanity in one global family rhythm. Headlining the 2009 Tubac/Tumacácori Music Festival is Gabriel of Urantia & The Bright & Morning Star Band, an 11-piece band. The festival features many other diverse musical acts that use their talents for global-change.
“Bring the family”
The Tubac/Tumacácori Music Festival is an all-ages, drug- and alcohol-free event. Participants are encouraged to look at the weekend as a pilgrimage of self-discovery to find their destiny purposes and reunite with their Cosmic Family. These gatherings are meant to satiate the longings of people in search of their tribe. It is an opportunity for diverse people to unite, celebrate life and each other, and take a break from the mainstream world. Camping is encouraged to connect with the land and Mother Nature.
“Sacred food, sacred relationships”
Co-hosting this festival weekend are two unique organizations, Avalon Organic Gardens, Farm, & Ranch and Global Community Communications Alliance. Avalon Organic Gardens, Farm, & Ranch is a 165-acre "garden of Eden" that provides locally-grown, organic produce to the residents of the Santa Cruz County through their Community Supported Agriculture program. Global Community Communications Alliance (GCCA) is a spiritual community and EcoVillage in Tumacácori, Arizona. For over 20 years, GCCA has continued to grow and thrive as one of the Arizona's most successful intentional communities. They have established a prototype of green living that helps others find community and become more effective global citizens.
“Not just green, but experience the unseen.”
The Tubac/Tumacácori Music Festival is an agricultural EcoVillage experience! Come learn about organic gardening and farming, composting, permaculture, effective microorganisms, alternative building materials and techniques, water quality, and more. Celebrate life and the unity of mankind with music, food, and fun in a safe environment that upholds and honors all that is sacred on this earth. Put away the "-isms" that divide us and come unite in a harmonious celebration of truth and beauty. Admission is free, reciprocation by contribution is appreciated.
